Giraffe Centre Nairobi: feeding Rothschild's giraffes, fee and opening hours

Updated on October 18, 2026

The Giraffe Centre, in Langata, protects the Rothschild's giraffe, an endangered subspecies. A raised platform lets you hand-feed pellets to the giraffes at very close range, and a trail in the neighbouring forest extends the visit. It is a short visit, about an hour, very popular with families. Do not confuse it with Giraffe Manor, a nearby hotel that is not open for visits.

Highlights
